Updated 2021–01–21: Removed dead links and added Careervault.

Updated 2018–04–18: Updated Remote OK and added Stack Overflow.

Here are some job search resources I’ve found useful.

Jobsinvt — I’m not sure I like the redesign. It’s somewhat tougher to find things. Still, it does list most Vermont jobs.

Indeed.com — This is a relatively new site that does a really good job of aggregating jobs for a specific area and radius.

Seven Days Jobs — This Twitter account posts openings as they get added to the Seven Days classifieds.

The Technical Connection — This local (Burlington VT) company has mostly Chittenden County openings, but some in other areas.

The Vermont Technology Alliance — A site for technology entrepreneurs, investors, and workers. Their Career page (the link) is very comprehensive. You don’t need to be a member to use it.

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) — Vermont nonprofit to foster business ethics. Job and internship listings from member companies.

LinkedIn is hit or miss for finding a job, though it is a good place to find connections at companies.

Weworkremotely — Many remote jobs in the tech industry. Some sound kind of open-ended (so to speak), but give it a look.

Cybercoders — A site that’s wide-ranging for all sorts of technical jobs.

Remote OK — Another remote jobs site. Their matching algorithm seems to have improved since last year.

Stack Overflow — Lots of developer and support jobs, with a few technical writer/editor positions thrown in. Thanks to David Stannard on Slack for this.

Careervault — Mostly software engineering, developer, and related jobs.

If you know of a link that should be here, please add it to the comments. And if you have any tips or hints, please send them along as well.
